Members Daeveed
http://toronto.craigslist.org/msg/267111425.html Seems like $600 is a lot to ask for a set of pickups... What do you guys think?

Members Agreed
Definitely not. That's an absurdly large amount to charge for those pickups.
Members GuitArtMan
Why would anybody want '70s strat pickups? When I was a kid in the '70s it was the '70s crap that Fender and Gibson put out that made people want '50s and '60s Fenders and Gibsons. Since when did '70s Fender's become desirable or vintage? Bah, humbug!

Bah, humbug! I'm guessing since mid 60's pickup covers are selling for hundreds of dollars people think they can sell the entire pickup set from a 70's strat for hundreds of dollars. Luckily nobody has to buy them. Somebody probably will though.
Members PFDarkside
Exactly, it was the 70's stock pickups that spawned the replacement pickup industry. I still don't understand why Fenders and Gibsons from that era are becoming collectable. A brand new guitar is a better insrument than those.
