Screw you 80s hater :shakes fist:

Actually I picked up a MIJ CE-2 last year and was a little underwhelmed - there's not a whole lot of sounds in there and the rate knob is painfully slow compared to a lot of other units. I wouldn't mind trying the CE-2B as you could blend just a touch of chorus onto the clean tone, rather than saturating it. I thought it was just a CE-2 with a blend control though, rather than specifically designed to effect the high frequencies, say like the HF-2.

it's much more subtle and thick. tons more tonal options.

i like the ce-3 too. it gives a true pitch vibrato and has multiple chorus settings. not to mention stereo.

I have a ce-2. It's pretty good, but I like the sound I get with it more before a fuzz. When I play with it clean, the first thing that comes to mind is Indicipline by King Crimson. I eventually need to get a small clone, but I'm lazy and have been playing acoustic lately, so I haven't got around to it. Someone said the mit and mij versions were basically the same, especially if you adjust the internal trimmer.
