Members freeridstylee
I've sold 5 pedals this week: Small stone (volume loss killed me, plus bypass was not up to par, russian version) Big muff (with 5 way tone switch, russian, ture bypass, was too big and no dc input) Zoom pd-01 (just used as a boost, am in the process of making a feterizer boost it take its place) Dod 280 compressor (too subtle, no led on a compressor, meh) Analog delay (in a boss type box, too short and didn't agree with my power supply) To take its place: I made a GGG dod 440 clone, for fat funky leads made a GGG ts808 clone (so I can sell my jekyll and hyde, the hyde side wasn't what I was looking for, and its HUGE) Bought a sd tweak fuzz (couldn't pass on the price, I'll be modding it soon with gremainium transistors, I know its smt, but they put in nice byoc type holes to mod it) Now for the $$ I'm going to get for the jekyll I'm thinking another distortion or 2 is necessary for heavier tones. Was thinking of build the bsiab2. Or maybe a rat clone. What should I do here? Also Probably going to do a big muff clone with a flat eq. We'll see. What delay should I get to take the place of my h2o? I want something more lively.
Members dysorexia
define "heavier tone" , bands, amps, guitars? All big factors in your tone. I would personally go with a rat, a lot of gain on tap and they usually sound great. And for the delay needs I'd get a memory lane if funds let you and if you're a hundred bucks short a Maxon AD-999 is just as good (prepares for death.) Members dysorexia
you do know that the small stone volume loss is an easy fix with a soldering iron? It's pretty basic fixing and not very time consuming considering how much better it sounds than the phase 90 imo, of course.
Members freeridstylee
Yea i've read about the fix, I would have done it if I had a newer truebypassed model, but the bypass was so bad, and the pedal felt so shoddy that I was too afraid it'd just die on me. I'll prolly get the nano or make a clone in the future. Memory lane looks amazing, just over my price range. I may try and save up for a dmm. or look at the de7. Heavier sound I'd like a modded marshall tone, and play through a classic 50. I know it's not possible to get there 100%, but somewhere in the ballpark would be good by me. I think I'll do the bsiab b/c i like the idea of having all my pedals in simaler boxes with the jacks on top like ggg does it.

Members freeridstylee
Okay next question; Should I build a big muff or an orange squeeze? The only compressor I've had was the dod 280 and it was very subtle, I only used it for slide. I'm thinking the compressor would help my clean tone a bit, but the big muff, well come on, can I really live with out one? If I did the muff I'd have 4 dirt boxes and a boost, is that too much? Also has anyone used one of the righteous tones' delay? they look pretty nice for the price. But I may just hold out for a dmm.
