Members utterhack
Dude, rock.gif isn't ENOUGH I can't fire it up to do any serious testing this evening, but in solid Fuzz Face fashion it does clean up well. With single-coils you should be okay... I'd want to do a quick check with 'buckers before making any promises.
Members lostandfoundpdx
will you throw p90s in with single coils? thanks for the hands on review, thats exactly what i'm looking for.
Members HMCMedic
It kills with my Seymour Duncan equipped Fender:) I have a Pearly Gates in the bridge and a 59 in the neck. It also is glorious with soap bars, minis, single coils.............don't even get me started on the tele!
Members HMCMedic
I'm doing a blues gig tomorrow and all I'm taking is my Evo w/P90's, my Epi Valve Junior, and my Crucible Fuzz

Members PurpleStrat
Someone once told me they sold the Crucible because it sound exactly like the BYOC Fuzz Face they already had. Stll it's a great price on them but since you know how to put pedals together it's just a thought.

Members barbum
The Crucible is a copy of the Crest Audio (Dave Fox) BC-109c reissue from the mid/late 80's. i got one and it's very nice. Also the MJM London2 si fuzz is about the same. both great.
Members inscho
tell me more inscho... did you have a germanium or silicon? silicon...it sizzled...responded well with the volume knob on single coil guitars....thick sustain for days...sounded great. only real downsides were no adapter jack, no led, and unity gain was at about 3 o'clock on the volume knob. Members lostandfoundpdx
i'll fix all that:) it shouldn't be hard to wire an LED into the jack, and the battery thing isn't a big deal, cuz i can power it with the battery clip for my PP2+
Members Boron
I had a Crucible Si and it was a beast.... foolishly sold it. Cleaned up so well with the volume it was nuts. And I had it on p90's. I posted a review in the fuzz lounge, actually. The only thing I could criticize it on was the lack of volume above unity gain. But the fuzz was THICK and balanced and the sustain just went on and on.
