Members joncyberboy
I want a cheap tele and found the Dean Nashvegas. Anyone have an opinion on these guitars? I'm not looking for the greatest guitar ever, just something playable that can get me into tele territory.

Members joncyberboy
True they are. That is an option. Also saw some Jim Reed copy that looked really good. The Dean however is insanely cheap on a blow out over here in the UK.

Members joncyberboy
Thats the problem, it is a 3 hour drive to road test a Dean. With UK fuel prices that is a
Members vigor&kandor
I personally have never played a dean i like. I would probably never own one either so that is my opinion on the subject. Maybe someone else with better knowledge will chime in here.

Members fernmeister
it's a little *beefier* sounding than a tele, but the godin radiator is pretty cheap and the ones I've played have been a lot of fun.

Members EL KABONG
if i got one of the squires i'd replace all the pickups with boutiques like Don Mare's pickups. I can't stand off the shelf pups anymore!
Members M900
In my opinion, if you want a tele, you should get a tele. None of the variations sound "right" if you really want that tele feel and sound. Save your cash and look around for a used MIM or better. c
Members EL KABONG
there is the G&L tribute brand ASAT that is made in korea and cheaper than real G&L's i have an ASAT classic and love it. I think on tele's I'd choose G&L over fender well at least I did.
