Members !HxC!
so I tore everything down, put batteries in everything and ran each pedal, one at a time, through the loop. No added noise from the pedals. Good thing. BUT!!!...its the loop itself thats noisy Add a boss noise suppressor to the end of the chain? Have the loop tweaked a bit? Any suggestions? oh, the amp is a 6505+ thanks

Members Nico de Roode
Is it line level?edit: it is! The sendlevel is to low.
Members mmmiddle
Just run all pedals in front if your effects loop is line level. Either that or have a tech adjust your effects loop to be pedal level.
Members mmmiddle
Or get a pedal that allows you to mix direct signal with a loop...
Members Jaymeister
Or get a pedal that allows you to mix direct signal with a loop... That only works if you can kill the dry signal through the effects. Not likely with many pedals. Personally I think that the loop is designed for line level (rack stuff). That improve signal to noise level.
Members freeridstylee
Yea a lot of pedals simply aren't loop friendly because of the buffers they use.
Members !HxC!
so...whats the concensus? I also bridged the send and return through a true bypass circuit ( send o>----->o return ) and it was still noisy. I wouldnt think the jacks are dirty, its a brand new amp. Members Eric Dahlberg
The amp needs to be modded, there is no good way around it. A noise suppressor will only be dealing with something that shouldn't be there in the first place. Fortunately, you can probably adds some nice functions while you're at it. Actually, come to think of it, putting a transformer in the line before the pedals ought to do it. Maybe Radial has something for that?
