Im sure theres a bunch of threads on this, and i'd behappy with a link to another thread

but

i know its all subjective about pedal placement in and out of loops, but what do you guys use/find the best placement of pedals in the loop and in front of the amp?

dist/od/wah

chrous/flanger/delay/boost/octave

please discuss

i was just listing effects, thats not how i placed them

I have these effects right now, don't judge because im a boss head ;)

Boss
MT-2
BF-2
OC-2
TU-2
DD-6
CE-5
Morely Wah/Volume

I tried octave>delay>chorus>flanger in the loop, then Tuner>dist>wah in front, but it sounds like im getting an extra distorted sound when i have an effect in the loop on with my in front distortion. any ideas? its quite possible my amps a piece of garbage, marshall valvestate, only one speaker works, no reverb etc etc....

I go:

wah>Phaser>Filter>Octave-OD>Dist>Chorus>Flanger>Delay>Trem>Compression

but I'm probably going to play with order this weekend.

Compressor last? Wouldn't that kill the eq'ing/dynamics of all the pedals you put in front of it? I've never tried one there, always just put them first. I sold mine a few weeks ago, just wondering.

Probably how the buffer is reacting to the drive from the preamp. Must buffers were designed to work with the signal from your guitar, not the high power from your amp, so they tend to lower the volume a bit when disengaged and up it when you hit the pedal. I just don't personally mess with the fx loop.
