Members placebo62
Hi folks, I've got a pretty solid idea in my head of the sounds I want to make now. Most of the pedals I have at present are from when I started out and didnt really know what I wanted. Anyway, below is my rough idea of what I want, I'd be interested to hear any general comments on a board like this, this of course will most likely change a bit as its version 1.0. And a few of the pedals on there are expensive so it will take me a while to pull it together. comments much appreciated.,
Members PFDarkside
Looks pretty cool, how many do you own currently? No Flange, Vibrato, Vibe or Chorus?

The maxon is the chorus and the Quasar does a decent flange. Enough for me anyway. and of course the memory man has the vibrato setting, although I dont use it much. Of these, I already have the: Korg dt10, Quasar, MF-102, Memory Man...soon to have the ts808 and dd6.

Members Zlandicar
+1 on the buffer. Also, why the TS808? Is that really the sound you want? If not, you can get better for cheaper. Put that extra money toward a good chorus/flanger like the Polychorus.

I'm pretty sure the ts808 is what I'm after, basing this on a friends run into his ac30cc. sounded like heaven to me.better for cheaper always makes my ears prick up though, what do you have in mind?...btw, I'll be sourcing most of these used off ebay. Members RUExp?
So...what are you buying first?
Members Zlandicar
Hard to say since I don't know what exact sound you're after. But definitely check out the SCOD, Liquid Sunshine, and Tim/Timmy before you drop $235 on a TS808...
Members Elliott Damage
would be a killer board for sure.
Members placebo62
So...what are you buying first?dd6 will be the first, followed by the ts808.Then I hope to trade or sell some {censored} to cover the mayo/fuzz factory.HOG for my birthday in June. It'll be a total 2007 plan before I pull it all together....I'd be interested in some other suggestions for the fuzz factory too. something that would go nicely with the mayo. I'm hoping to pick up a used keeley modded ts808 for around $170. $235 is too much.
Members Zlandicar
To my knowledge the smaller Timmy is only about $175 or so. SCOD is about the same, Liquid Sunshine can be had for $120 new. Depending on what you play the DOD 250 (grey version) might be another option. You can get one from BYOC for $75 (I think). It's a pretty raw sound. I have never experimented with modded Boss pedals but some people really dig modded SD-1s and DS-1s. Check 'em out. Members erksin
$105 I believe. You'd be correct - $105 shipped... And you don't need a buffer - the DD6 will have a decent one. Unless you're noticing a significant high end loss when everything is switched off, you can do without one. Personally, I'd avoid the Keeley 808. It's a lot of money and there's better alternatives out there IMO - namely the MJM Blues Devil or MI Audio Blue Boy Deluxe.

Well, if you want a super accurate 808 clone the MJM is supposedly it - people gush about the Blues Devil. No website for the Timmy - do some searches here and over on TGP (be prepared for lots of reading), you'll find Paul's number and when to call. The Blue Boy is a fantastic pedal, I can't recommend it highly enough.
Members theweight
you need a buffer Doesn't the DT10 already have a solid buffer on it?
Members Phallic Potato
The Fuzz Factory isn't going to like the buffered output of the DT10. You could use an A/B box or you could put it at the end of the chain and use it to tune oscillations.
Members Collapse
you need a buffer DT-10 and DD-6 are both buffered. I think your layout has some scale issues, unless those Moogerfoogers are a lot smaller than they look. Looks like a fun board though!
