Members JoshuaLogan
looking for a powerful clean boost to help push a semi-high gain amp further into saturation. using the old tubescreamer gain 0 level 10 trick right now as a boost (and slight alteration in tone), but looking for something powerful either to run by itself, or to push even harder when used in conjunction with a TS style pedal. I'm looking at the hbe uno mos and dos mos, and the catalinbread SCP... what would you guys recommend? by the way, I want it to be as transparent as possible, and also have atleast 25db of output, but more is fine.. I think I've seen some that are around 35db...

Members JoshuaLogan
MI Audio Boost n Buff 35db. Thanks, does it change the tone in any way or is it nice and transparent?
Members dysorexia
It's one of the more transparent ones IMO. although I would still consider the Catalinbread SCP. Also a very nice booster. Are you going to be using it with your Framus?
Members dysorexia
It turns rangmaster-ish you crank it, sounds great. It's a love/hate pedal.

Are you going to be using it with your Framus? right now, yes, but that might change in the future. thinking about trying out some different amps. any paticular reason you asked? also, how much do these usually go for used? is the mi audio the cheapest of them? the scp is also 35db, right? Members dysorexia
it's 100 new, and I got mine for 70. My friend ordered it and he later got a ts which he seemed more into. And the SCP is also 35db but it's 150 bucks. You can catch a few of them on the 'bay once in a while floating around 100-120ish.

Members dysorexia
I've never played the catalinbread, but I've played most of Marc's pedals (crunch box, blues pro, blue boy deluxe,GI Fuzz) and I'll vouch for his abilities... not to bring Nick down at all. Have you looked on Nick's website? You can check out the MI Audio website too.
