From the website:

"ToadWorks Mad Dog is THE fuzz box of the new millennium - with it's snarling mids, hairy highs and low growl, Mad Dog rips the competition to shreds.

Priced to fit any budget, Mad Dog offers unparalleled tone and uncompromising quality, making Mad Dog the choice of professionals and amateurs alike.

All fuzzes are not created equally, and someone has to be the winner. Once you hear Mad Dog's bark, you'll beg for it's bite. "

Hm... takes a standard 9v, neg. tip adapter... has an LED... compact... true bypass... $87.

And the clips are pretty tasty... http://www.toadworksusa.com/MDAudio.html

Reminds me a bit of the Plexi side of the Death Rattle when I cranked the hell out of the gain.

Yea, I'd like to know more as well... where's Ryan!? Give us da scoop!

Got mine today! If you want wooley, thick, harmonically rich fuzz, the Mad Dog will do it for ya. And the overtones / harmonics are everywhere... I'm thinking SP Siamese Dream stuff here. So think tight, smooth, thick fuzz. Very, very cool. Sustains forever, and a buttload of gain available. When cranked, the feedback is gorgeous.

Thing is, I also got a Top Fuel today. And I prefer the edgier, sharp tone I can dial in with the TF a bit more. I can't keep both! Totally different pedals for sure.

Can it get the Mark Farner Grand Funk fuzz sound?

I honestly haven't heard much Grand Funk outside of "American Band"... and even that was years ago. I'm back at work so I can't even check out some stuff and see if there is a similarity or if I can dial in the MD to cop those sounds. I'll check this weekend!
