oh im not worrying.

i would just like to know because i really like it

I use two old MIJ DS-1's one for overdrive/distortion and one as a boost using only the level and tone. There are alot of people that say that the DS-1 is a {censored} pedal as well but I really like the way they sound. I went through alot of high end boutique overdrives (Lovepedal Eternity, Fulldrive II, Blue Boy, Keeley TS-9, etc.) and for me its the DS-1. I just really like em. People bash them all the time but hey, talk is cheap.

It's a good basic overdrive pedal.

But there is something literally wrong with it. It can still leak some drive sound in with the clean when in bypass mode. Keeley fixes that when he mods them. I have an article from Musician's Hotline magazine (it may be online somewhere) that shows the fix - adding a jfet or something. But it is kinda involved.

Uh, sorry I went on a rant...

Anyhow, here is a link to Robert Keeleys modifications for the pedal. It addresses some of the issues that people have with the pedal.

I LOVE mine! It/a Rat are my favorite OD/DIST pedals.

Works great with my Marshall to give a little more sustain/distortion.

I set all the knobs a little past noon.

see thats too high for me

i like them nice and low
