Members adam barkley
Our new bassist has the Boss. I like it. I really don't think it belongs in this category anyway. It doesn't get that bad of reviews, does it? I'd rather cut my fingers off than ever play through one of those again. It makes even a great sounding bass sound like a bag of bees banged against the walls of a tin shack. But if he likes it and you dig it, no worries. Members joncyberboy
The bass distortion Boss pedal there is not at all abd. I have heard it used numerous times live and sound huge. It got quite a nice synthy fuzz to it in extreme settings. Not good for ampeg style dirt, but for a unique thick sound i'd buy one.
Members Agreed
The MT-2 only sounds good through a particularly warm/dark amplifier, and even then it is best primarily with a solid state amp. I've plugged one into every tube amp in the store and couldn't kill the fizz, but bring it back to the relatively inexpensive Peavey Special 212II (transtube line, Sheffield 1230 speakers) and put it on the clean channel and it's pumping out fizz-free distortion. Synergy is the only consideration in putting together guitar gear, you know? Edit: That said, the Ibanez SM-7 "Smashbox" is pretty much junk. It's good at one sound, and I hate that sound, and I don't know anyone who likes that sound. However, maybe it sounds great with a certain combination of guitar&pickups and amp combination. Members fuzzinator
My least favorite pedal that I currently own is my Dunlop GCB95 Wah. Tone-sucker, lifeless, {censored}ty sweep. I'm going to mod it one day, but in the meantime, I'm shopping for an alternative - likely a Vox.

Members franchelB
I had one of those Danelectro Danowah'shttp://www.lapedale.fr/images_magasin/583_image_med_danelectro-danowah.jpg While the wahs were alright, the fuzz button just just horrible! I do think that Danelectro discontinued production. But those are still available for sale...unfortunately.

I was going to suggest the Carl's Custom Guitars Univibe/phase - the damn thing should be banned because you will want to use it for everything. Is there something else you would like to share? Members MattCrane
I'm not talking about pedals that you tried for a week and didn't like. I mean pedals that get low scores in the reviews, and that people can't get rid of quick enough. Examples: Maybe the Boss one is a bit harsh? WHA??????????????????? I love my bass over drive i use it all the time.
Members p90teleman
MIT BOSS OD-2 TURBO OVERDRIVE. I hear people say they like 'em ad I just don't get it...someone mentioned MIJs sound way different. Mine's a total pos + it can't stand being after a buffered pedal!!!!!!!!!!!
