not sure if this is a passing phase, but im considering selling off most of my gear, and just keeping a strat, a couple of overdrives, a wah, and a comp. maybe a chorus.

this means i will have the following on the chopping block

foxrox cc2

infinitphase

red witch medusa

fuzz factory (already for sale)

mi audio classic distortion

DMM

black sheep fuzz

94 ibanez ghostrider

i dont know what started this, but a lack of interest in rock/alt guitar and a growing obsession with jazz and blues i feel is fuelling it.

also, this acoustic. i really want it.

me too, i ve bena blues and jazz fan for a while, and its a great influence in what i do. but i dable in ambient and psychedilia. been think about selling:

Ibanez swell flanger
dod 201 phasor
tube screamer (all ready for sale)
CM rock drive (allready for sale)
and what ever of the new pedal coming in thins week that doesnt fit the bill juct right.

basically wanna go down to:

Bifet preamp > some OD > 2 headed monster> EQ (for flexibility) > chorus >delay

i know those pedal would get me the sounds i use most.

but im gonna wait until i find out witch of the pedal comming in this week is gonna stay and then add the ones im gettin of to the sig.

I did that/am doing it. I've sold Budda wah, Huckleberry Fuzz, Dyna Comp, Direct Drive, Monte Allums BD-2, Fuzz Factory (bought another though) this month. Problem is I got GAS about a week later, though not that bad and I'm still comfortable with my decisions. I miss my Dyna Comp a little though and the wah sometimes but I'd rather have the money I got for them right now.

Got a Frazz Dazzler coming, got a fuzz factory for recording, want to try an Echo Park, get a DT-10 and a PS-3 or possibly PS-5.

My pedal board (actually took them off my pedalboard cause it made me feel empty without the pedal board being filled) right now is Lovepedal MAGICboy, EHX Graphic-Fuzz (DE7 and EHX Holy Grail in loop)

Ahhh I was going to ask about the DMM but you got in first ... fair play.

Good move on the gear shedding.

I am all for this! I am doing the same.

OT-I am watching a taped re run of Steve Irwin catching and tagging these HUGE crocs with tracking devices.

He was not right in the head! Can't decide if this is the most daring OR stupid thing I have ever seen on tv.

Pretty ballsy!

Sorry to thread jack.

Some nice gear there!

i had a feeling this thread would get some interest...not sure why:D

its such a hard decision to make. its a very recent board i have. other than the wah, i havent owned any of these pedals for more than 9 months. maybe the medusa i have, but i doubt i could sell that. it has been a handy effect for some interesting jazz playing.

i got a quote back for the wise 000. exactly $4k with a case and electronics.
in terms of sales, im looking for around that much (aud$ of course) for all the gear.

That's a nice guitar from a great part of the world. I love 000s and slotted headstocks.

same. i think the first one i saw was an ellis 000 and it just sexied up the 000 look.

im hoping to get a week up at margaret river at years end and pick the guitar up then. my girl loves it up there, so a week with my girl and the newest addition to the axe family will be nice :)

did you see muse this week?

Having finally got it through my head how little I actually use a lot of my effects, I've decided to have a clear-out myself, with the proceeds going towards a ZIM to replace my existing overdrives. Unfortunately, most of what's on the chopping block isn't as nice as what the bazaar is selling. I can't see a queue forming for:

Zoom Power Drive
Danelectro Rocky Road leslie sim
Ibanez PH-7 Phaser
Danelectro Dan-Echo
Danelectro Wasabi Forward-Reverse Delay
Danelectro FAB Overdrive
Danelectro FAB Distortion
...but if I get lucky, I might make a good deal on my Zoom Ultra Fuzz.

Staying would be:

A/B -> Vox Clyde -> (ZIM) -> DOD FX74C Flanger -> DL-4+exp pedal -> amps

...with an option on another fuzz pedal in the future, and possibly a volume pedal.

Until the ZIM makes an appearance and gets thoroughly approved, I can't see me parting with my Valvetone, which has been on the board longer than just about anything. Longer than there's been a board, in fact.

Nah. I should have seen them. I take it you did?

Margaret River is tops for a holiday. If you can get there, do it.

saw muse tuesday night. it was a good show, they still put one of the more solid sets than most bands. but the absolution tour was tons better. opening with knights and closing with take a bow was a bit weird.

im gonna sleep on this idea. might spend the weekend with the CC2 and dmm and see what happens. i wish i had the mi audio classic distortion to throw into the mix...
