Members elctmist
Anyone got one? I'm super tempted,..can't decide if I can splurge on the hand paint one.... Played both side by side, if anything the Zexter sounded a teeny tiny bit better, but I'd be happy with either. I bought the Zexter.

Members sainty
the circuit is slightly different
Members waters
They are exactly the same except as mentioned above the paint job.
Members mumford
Zvex said they're not really different, the difference in the board is the vexter has 2 caps adding up to the value of the single one in the hand-painted one. It's just a supply thing and isn't supposed to affect the sound.

Members elctmist
I thought they were excatly the same? Bar the paintjob? Even if the circuit is the same there will be slight differences in the tolerances of the parts used. Same is true of any pedal. I wouldn't stress it if you like the sound. Members waters
I was just referring to the circuit, have heard both side by side and own the vector, both sounded great to me.
Members StompboxMan
Play more then one if you can. Then pick out the one you like best. It's all a bit of pedal voodoo.
Members Ben Co.
Just a minor thing to help people that may be trying to search for these pedals on line: It's not "Vector" or "Zexter"... it's either the ZVex painted version, or the 'upainted' Vexter version. -Ben

Members plinky
I got one last week (Vexter) and so far I like it a lot. It does, however, have a LOT of low end. Also it doesn't have oodles and oodles of distortion on tap, it's more of an overdrive really. But if you do want those things, it's a great pedal.
