Chorus, Delay, Phase & Flange in one unit?

Any suggestions? I have tried several multi-effects but didn't like the shortcomings of units that focus on distortion or cab simulation. Would prefer to not have that functionality.

Last one I tried with the Yamaha DG Stomp - you can't turn of the distortion.

Have you tried the Boss ME-50. I'm pretty sure you can turn off the distortion on it and I have heard good things about the effects on it.

Also, your supposed to be able to bypass the amp models in the Line 6 pod xt Live but I've never tried it myself. It would be worth a shot though because the effects on my xt desktop sound pretty good.

The dist can be turned off, you 1st press utility button, switch amp knob to clean 2, you should see "pre" in the lit up box. It will say on or off, press the up or down button untill it says off, then press utility button again and put the amp knob back to whatever setting you want and your pre amp will be off, just effects of your choosing, I hope that helps

peace :D

Marshall has a new pedal that has chorus, flangr, phaze and a couple others, this is something I will check out, couse I am digging the EchoHead

Very musical.

fair enough..
I'm not a read the manual type of guy..
(I wish i still had the thing...feeling sellers remorse i guess. Making myself feel better by saying it blows)

Never selling another pedal ever again.
well... maybe in 2030 when my WH1 is worth $85,987

I'm in the same boat - would like to have a unit where there is an on/off button each for flange, phase, delay and chorus with controls for each above.

Why not just get some of the micro series Guyatone units. Then you get one button for each function, and three tiny pedals that probably take up less space than the Magic Stomp.

UD has no phase.

Magicstomp, you can't do multiples at once... well you could in theory do chorus and delay using the UD model.

I agree that you might not find something that can do all of them. The MM4 might be one choice. The upcoming Eventide box might be another... but my guess is that it might not do phase.

I've always heard/thought that phasing was a filter based effect, whereas chorus and flange are modulation based... then again I could be (and probably am) an idiot. :D

No you are right but you could still do phasey-like effects with the UD due to the phase reverse function available on each band. Plus, you could also use several delay bands with different bass cut and high cut values and also different fixed delay times to create pseudo all-pass filter stages. It could work allright.

The reviews for this unit are mixed - is it decent or junk?

I find it to be not bad sounding but not "WOW" either. The effects are all decent sounding, but they all have a samey vibe to them that'll probably get on your nerves after a while.
