Members DylanWilde
Anyway to remedy this? It's not a huge deal since I don't use fuzz a great deal, and typically only use it for loud, crazy noisy riffs where the hiss is basically inaudible. But I would like to see whatever noise minimized in my rig. And yes it's the pedal, not anything else. Could it be maybe a buffer or smething else behind it in the chain? Members Wilbo26
Maybe its just part of the nasty silicon fuzz tones???
Members wacopacco
most if not all fuzz pedals will give you hiss. Same with high gain distortions. My Mayo throws TONS of noise when it's on, it's the nature of the effect. deal with it...
Members Wilbo26
Its also one of the things I like about it. Hissy, sizzly nastiness. OH and ignore my previous post, '69 is Ge. Don't even think about trying a Si fuzz if hiss and sizzle bother you.
Members kittycaster
Every fuzz pedal I have "hisses" to some degree. It's probably just the nature of the primitive beast.

Its certainly never going to be without noise, and if it were, what would be the point. Embrace the hiss.
Members jb1911
Of all the fuzz pedals I've tried, I like my '69 the best. What hiss, all I hear is beautiful music.

That's the weird thing, my muff that I just sold to a friend didn't really hiss at all. My rig typically isn't noisy at all, but when this thing is turned on, it's immediately very hissy, and I was just curious what could be the problem, because it is great otherwise. . . 'tons' is a loose term. you can definately tell when the pedal is on. No need to get it checked out, it works perfectly fine it however is NOT a quiet pedal, if it was THEN i'd be having it checked out lol.
