Ok then I'll settle for Cubase, Reason, Acid, Garageband etc etc Looking forward to the soft synths for sure ... just need to get a controller keyboard for that but in the meantime I may also be able to look at playing that stuff with Midi Guitar too. As for effects etc ... it's all about the songs at the end of the day ... the fairy glitter is largely superfluous. I am cooking pasta dinner ... Members kittycaster
Very nice looking setup. Thanks! I wish I had a better camera. The computer was the fastest Mac I could buy back in 2001 - a whopping 500mhz G4! But it is reliable and I've never lost a take during tracking. Mixing is where things get bumped against the ceiling when my plug-in count starts stacking up. But I tried to mostly invest in good mic-pres, decent converters, and some decent mics (Royer 121 on guitar cab = ). Being a guitar player is bad enough as it is for GAS.... with recording gear there is no end as I'm sure you know all too well! So, in lieu of any conclusive response about the forum renaming petition, you should probably go ahead and change it to: Phil's Phantastic, Phabulous, and Phun Phorum Phor Guitar Playing Phools

Twats like me need fairy glitter cos we play the bass first and destrot guitar 8th! YA silly bugger ... you know what I mean ... like I NEEEED more effects ... as though this makes arrangements and melodies sit better in a mix!!! I was also talking about the other software re film etc!Ahhhhhhh YESSSSSSSS!!! Now THIS I don't have access to ... don't know anybody else doing what I do. We shall indeed talk - though breath stinks of garlic right now. Pasta sounds good, i'll be over in 5 with beer and cider! You'll dig the pasta if you ever get to it ... I could do with a beer but drinking lot's of water today instead.

Members kittycaster
Ok here's a slightly better pic. You guys were guessing pretty good though! The red pre is a Langevin which is Manley's solid state line. Eve Anna Manley is a kick ass bitch!I've got the L2 into the SPDIF of the digi001. I use it for 2 channels of converters during tracking and then I use it at mixdown/mastering as the final limiter dithering thingee. Then I've got the RME 8-channel converters taking up the optical highway to the 001.The mic pres get worse and worse as you go down the rack....I'd like to evenutally upgrade them but you know the story $$$.
