I am making a Big Cheese clone (thanks Inscho  ). I plan on using water slide decals. I have never used water slides on my pedals but I am going to try it out. I was wondering what you think of this design.

I did barrow the cheese slice and color from Inscho. The color may vary. I like the idea of orange, but white or brown may be cool. Also if i go orange maybe i will do purple graphics.

trust me, if you do water slide, you're going to want it laser printed on there. so get the laser print decals. ink jet ones either get fuzzy, or run.

also, do a sheet strictly for testing to see if the clear coat you spray over it wont do something funny. it took some time for me to find out a good combination...dont bother trying to get the decal on the box for the test.

also, in my experience its easier to work with smaller sections as opposed to doing the entire face of the pedal. it doesnt look as nice but it'd look nicer than a {censored}ed up decal.

i pretty much gave up on decals altogether. if i'm doing pedals for myself (which is all i do anymore) i use a plastic label maker, i dont care how ghetto it looks. if i'm doing studio devices (compressors, eqs, preamps, etc) there are groups out there that will do group buys for some pretty awesome placard covers, engraved or silkscreened or both. these arent too expensive to have made for you as a one off as well.

you probably have seen the same stuff as me, diystompboxes and all the diy forums normally have threads on known working combinations of stuff, study it and go by it for less headache.

just my $.02

I plan on painting the enclosure a basic color then just using the water slide decals for the words.
