Members SpectralJulian
I've heard that. Some people say the fab distortion sounds a lot like a DS-1, but I have a friend that has a DS-1 and one that has a fab, and I like the fab a lot more. It is a very harmonicly rich sounding distortion, almost a pretty distortion.

Members BluesBenderNC
I tried the Fab dist, overdrive & chorus in live situations. Sold all on Ebay. You get what you pay for. Too toy sounding for me.
Members gorebuc
the distortion is really nice, I've got mine on my board right now, but it loses a bit in the way of clarity for me.

Too toy sounding for me.so presumably if you had paid 3x more for the dano, it would've been better, right

Members thatmullingskid
for $15 it's worth a shot either way. i heard the rumor as well, and it definetely beats the ds-1 tonewise... but mine hummed when i wasn't playing and the bypass was far from great. Members dswain81
I tried the FAB distortion at GC today.....didn't quite do it for me....sounded VERY similar to the distorion in my first Peavey Rage amp. I tried every distortion at GC and ended up buying the Marshall Jackhammer. Try before you buy (either one).
