thats cool... in a bad weird way

could you not record with a mic... and video seperately and put them together at the end?

Yup. I've tried that before with my acoustic and a portable Edirol recorder. It's a bit of a pain to synch up the audio and visual, but it's ceartainly possible.

There are plenty of ways to keep that audio/video crunching from happening. It's mainly a work-flow problem. I separated the audio at the start, but by saving the project midway through the audio got re-synched and then when I went back to abusing the visual filters, the sound was affected also.

I don't know why I've never thought to ask, but do you still have the Filterbank? I'd love a demo vid with some serious knob twiddlage... I'm pretty sure that one of those is going to take a good chunk out of my tax return.

i'd love to hear this as well

It's out on loan, with an option to buy, to a friend. It's a pretty wacky and very chaotic unit. I found that it was much easier to use with bass, synth, or drums than with guitar, but there are ways of making it cooperate. ;)

Here is the old bari vid that I made last year with the Sherman doing a strange vibro-filter-psuedo-sample-hold sort of sound. A Kurzweil Mangler is providing the tap-delays.:
