so, instead of using instrument cables... could you not just use high quality wiring to connect from the 3PDT true bypass switch to your pedal's circuit board?

I dont see why this wouldnt work, although it might be considered un-versatile, there are some pedals in my chain that wont ever move, like the Wah.

i've almost got the money to build by true bypass board and was looking into this to save money on cables and jacks. plus i think it woudl be cool and might potentially reduce noise and signal loss. but i could be way wrong.

i see no reason why not. i've been thinking about creating an analog multi-fx device by basically wiring everything up inside one giant hammond case. ha, if they even make them that big.

of course, somebody else already did that too:

[edit]: by the way, that's a creation by colin of experimentalists anonymous. his {censored} is seriously incredible. go here for some more examples.

yeah that looks about like what im trying to accomplish. im not going to house everything inside the case, but i think im gonna build in a couple EQs, hardwire the wah, muff, volume, mistress, de7 etc- stuff i can easily take apart without feeling bad about it
