Members Prehistoricpain
how can i boost a FF type pedal if they hate having pedals before them?
Members kittycaster
I can recommend the Roger Mayer Stone Fuzz. It's basically a sil fuzz face that:- has huge low end that's not flabby- more boost on tap on it's vol knob than a regular fuzz face- still cleans up pretty well- great for sludgy power chord riffing- still has bite and cut when needed

Members kittycaster
anybody? Use a true-bypass pedal in front of the fuzz face. I use a Keeley JavaBoost in front of my fuzz face to kick it over the top.

Members harshoul
i think he's saying you should get HIS muff , and it could be ok, but depending on your rig you'll just get covered in muff mushiness, just like i do with mine
Members jgyn
Check out the Maxon D & S 1 if you like Big Muffs overall but find them muddy. Similar smooth saturation, but with a harder transient edge.

Members ScreamCage
I would suggest: -EHX Muff Drive (capable of low gain fuzz to almost full blown Muff) -$40 -EHX Double Muff (two Muff Drives in a box) - $60 -E13 AR 33 (Really chunky, wild fuzz) - $35 -Baja Tech DaMOAF (crazy versatility for all things Muff) - $70 used
Members decode6
My guess is that you're a QOTSA fan, so you might as well get the same thing that Josh uses: a Fulltone Ultimate Octave. I use a SIB! Nick Nitro that works damn well, but I'm getting rid of it because I might be moving to bass.
Members Gary Ladd
D*A*M Meathead, the end all stoner rock fuzz pedal. I've got one, along with a DragN'Fly, and I can't imagine ANYTHING better...

Members Looseygoosey
Where can i get that Meathead? it sounds {censored}ing fantastic, if the sounds on this page: http://www.stompboxes.co.uk/gpage6.html is made by that one. and is there any difference in the sound of the standard and the deluxe besides the extra knobs to make it change
