Tom Morello signature pedal.

"Now, you too can help rage against the Capitalism machine! With crushing, Bush-bashing tones like the ones heard in "Bulls on Parade", "Killing in the Name", "Guerrilla Radio", and "Like A Stone", you'll be sending consumerists to sleep now in the fire with every mind blowing pitch shift of the DigiTech Tom Morello Signature Commie Box! Put one in your political agenda today!"

Seriously. Think about it. It could happen.

I heard a quote from him today that essentially said the main reason the US is in the state its in is because Rage broke up 7 years ago and hasn't kept Bush in check.

what a maroon.

Maybe Rage should jam out in front of the White House like they did in the video for Sleep Now in the Fire. That oughta set things straight.

I was expecting this thread to be about David Gilmore...

Great choice! Different target market. Same guaranteed success.

Maybe MXR will pull that one off, though. Digitech could have a monopoly on the market with their line of signature things.

A Tom Morello one would still defeat the entire purpose of Rage's career, though. Seems like an interesting anyway.

I was actually thinking an SRV pedal. I guess they could only put three sounds in that one though. Lenny, Cold Shot, and the same tone he had on every other song he did.
:D

I actually think Cold Shot is one of SRV's best cuts, and I really like the tone. But you're right - it's not his "usual" tone. :)

I was actually hoping that they would consider making a full blown Tom Scholz pedal. That old Rockman gear is nice, but damned expensive. The newer mini amp stuff from Dunlop doesn't have the tone.

It used to be said back in the 1970's / 80's that if he ever put his sound into an effects box, he'd be out of a job. He did, and he is. ;) But kids at school went crazy over the sound of that first Boston album. I can remember kids carrying around copies of it in high school like it was some sort of good luck charm or something. But the old Rockman stuff can't be going for that much these days, can it? Why not just hit ebay and do (or have done) a rehouse?

I do think a Gilmore pedal (although hard to do right) would be a guaranteed best seller. :)

an EVH or Radiohead pedal would be a bigger hit than a gilmore pedal.

Actually a full-blown EVH pedal isn't far fetched. It just makes him 10 times more money to market dedicated effects pedals (signature Phaser, signature Flanger, etc.) than to just release one that does everything.

He really did say that?

I'd think he made enough money to have his head surgicaly pulled out of his ass...
