Members woodylong
I'm about ready to buy my next pedal and wanted some input on this Phaser. I thinks its $175 bucks so i want to make sure that this is the one that i'm going to be happy with. So what do you think about this Phaser. Members Bassin' 'Round
...for that price, I'd also take a strong look at the Subdecay Quasar... ... http://www.subdecay.com/qp.htm ...

It is like an original MXR Script Phaser, which I had, but way better. You can make it subtle or bring it up more in the mix and the level knob is amazing. It has a beautiful thick, smooth, phase sound and if you have the rate all the way to the left you can leave it on all the time and it just thickens up your sound.Again, I have owned an Original Script Phase 90, Boss PH-1, PH-1r, Phase 90 Block Logo, Digitech Phaser, and have tried the Quasar and small stone. The Retro-Sonic, hands down, is the best one. Members Salsage
just bought one last week...I own a carl martin Two faze and felt something was missing so I had a private phase off between the retro-sonic phaser and a Carl Martin two faze. both really good pedals IMO.The two faze has two independent phasers and powers direct ac. very transparent nice phase but no level or depth control. you get 2 phasers in one but the only adjustment is speed. Still a really good pedal IMO.the Retro-Sonic can achieve a slightly thicker phase and can be dialed in to be more transparent like the two faze. Seems to sound slighly better overdriven. The level, depth and smaller footprint make the Retro-Sonic phaser get my vote also.Buy it.

Members ZJD
Just want to add that I've tried both the Quasar and the Retro Sonic. I kept the Retro Sonic.
Members jamison162
How does the Retro Sonic compare to the Maxon PH-350? The Maxon is very versatile but I founf it to be quite subtle in all settings.
Members mattpas
Just a note that the Retro-Sonic is best run off an adapter. It tends to eat batteries.
Members Dr.Picklebottom
the retrosonic also sounds way tits after a good distortion pedal. i mean, its totally useless in a song, but it sounds cool in a "ooh, isnt that trippy" kinda way. all my other phaser sound broken placed after distortion.* *back to off topic, senselessly aggressive posts.
