Members Tribute2Johnny
So I've been playing off multieffect units for years simply due to the fact that I can't really try out many if any effects where I am plus I don't have a lot of cash to randomly purchase boxes. So after watching the LZ "How the West Was Won" DVD for an hour or two, I started to love the Zeppelin II tone all over again.....played along for a bit, then looked in my Zoom GFX-1 user manual for some presets....found some overdrive settings....applied them. Damn. Even though it's a multieffect unit, the overdrive was spot on to some Zeppelin and a good percentage of Wilco live arrangements from last couple of years. I have a whole new appreciation for basic distortion and overdrive now. Play a couple of hours with those settings with some chorus and reverb added on....hoooboy. I then went back to my older settings and noticed how damn too grainy and muffled they all were. My Bandit loves the overdrive settings. {censored} High Gain for most applications. I'm gonna go and listen to some STP and Zwan...

Members Tribute2Johnny
Yea....I mean, I've been using some damn odd sounding high gain tones in the past for little reason. I love Jonny Greenwood's tone, but even that isn't terribly high gain...
Members lostandfoundpdx
imagine how great it would sound with a really nice OD and a tube amp instead of a bandit...
