about a month ago i sent out a $1000 money order to a forumite on here for something they were selling. the forumite claimed to have sent the item last wednesday and i have not yet recieved it. he is not responding to any of the IMs or PMs i send to him. needless to say i am quite worried.

is there any way i can get my money back if i never recieve the product? i still have the receipt and everything but i guess i have no way to prove i never recieved the item. is there anything else i can do?

Call him out publicly on all the forums he uses. Give us his name and info. :thu:

If you have proof of payment, then the other party is responsible for delivery. The onus is on them to prove that they shipped the item and, for their own protection, they should use tracking or signature confirmation. If they don't, then they are liable for the loss. If you sent the Money Order thru the US Post Office, I would contact them about a possible case of mail fraud.

Good luck with this.

I'm hoping that you used a USPS Money Order....

I don't know where you are or where the item is being shipped from, but, given the recent spate of bad weather in the Midwest/Northeast, I wouldn't panic about not recieving an item shipped last Wednesday just yet.
