this is actually a pointless question without knowing what guitar and amp...

cos for me i have no reverb/eq/boost/channels or anything, so id need a dirt box

 

for someone with something that has 3 channels and reverb etc then a more exotic pedal would be fine

Yeah, it's tough to know what to pick if we don't know the rest of the picture.

 

Assuming this includes the possibility of acoustic shows, I'd agree with Gringo and JD and go the tuner route.

I would assume that he means "with your regular guitars and amps". Then again, you know what happens when we assume...

Hey, how come I can't find this copperhead pedal anywhere in the Harmony Central product reviews??? It looks so cool I want one even if it sounds awful.
