Members usa83strat
i dont know about 2 amp sounds. it can do pure clean boost to Full on ts9 and everything in between, the "clean" knob work more like a blend between the clean stage and the Dirty stage so the sound blends into one. by the way what a good price for one of these sprakle drive? Members NappyDugOut
I have one....and yes, I had the switch problem you are talking about. I sent it to Voodoo Lab about two years ago and the switch went out again in a month. I gave up and put it in my closet for for about a year and a half. I had given up on it. Then on a whim I posted a thread about Voodoo Lab making a true by-pass switch and how it was ironic, with all the bad switches they have. A day later someone from the company e-mailed me and ask if they could try one more time to satisfy me. They told me about the problem that they had with their past switch provider and that the problem no longer exists. I said what the hell.......I sent it, along with my Micro-Vibe, I can say 6 months later that my VL pedals are my all time favorite again............good job....................get one, they have finnally solved their switch problem...... :thu: GREAT GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE>>>>>>>> :thu: :thu:

No I don't work for them......I used to bash them every chance I got.....I'm sure some of the old timers may remember. I used to post that they wouldn't even answer my e-mails after my pedals failed for the second time......found out that my Spam blocker was working too well................I recomend getting it modified by Robert Keeley.the cleans are cleaner and the distortion is more distorted. Members whowasthursday
I bought mine used, had a problem with a switch, and they still replaced it for free. Haven't had any problems with the replaced footswitch. I would say go for it. There aren't a ton of other pedals that have that clean control. One of them is the T-Rex Moller. I am guessing they were using switches from Cliff Electronics.....I remember that nightmare all too clearly!

Members CapnMarvel
Chalk up another disappointed Voodoo Labs customer. I had their Tremolo and MicroVibe and both switches began to die on me. The only pedal left in their lineup that I'm interested in at all is the Superfuzz (a Jordan Bosstone clone, which is a rare bird), and I've really not wanted to get one of those because of the switch experiences I've had in the past. Plus, I'm not sure either the Trem nor the Vibe sounded THAT great in the first place. Good, but not overwhelming.

Listen to these different "tube screamer" type pedals. OD-820, Zendrive, Keeley modded TS-9, Voodoo Labs Sparkle Drive. Members whowasthursday
To me the sparkle drive has a sound pretty similar to the ts9... midrangey in a sort of low nasal way (but a good way for certain uses). The clean knob really does open up some great possibilities, though.
