There's an adjustable trimpot in the RI Phase 90s, right?

Indeed - if you want to tame the RI Phase 90, removing R28 will do the trick. Don't mess with the trimpot - moving it out of position will usually only cause the phaser to stop working, and getting it back just so can be really hard. It's hot-glued for a reason...

if you truly know the real sound of the phase 90 then don't be afraid to mess around with the trimpot, i did. you can mellow it out or what not but you will find that it really does sound the best with THE phase 90 sound. as you move through the sweep on the trim pot you can def tell where the sweet spot is.

the trimpot is for adjusting for the sweep spot. turning this and your phaser will not sweep any more..., you can fix this by turning it back again.

as far as i know all phase 90 have this trimpot inside due parts tolerance the sweep spot needs to be adjusted for every unit seperately.

it's good know that this is in there, if your phase 90 is not sweeping anymore (cause of heavy giging or transportation aso.) it's an easy fix to find the sweepspot again with a little screwdriver

for changing the sounds you ahve to look for the mods describe in the diy sites
