Phil O'Keefe
The green is supposed to be Sea Foam (NOT Surf) Green, but doesn't quite look right to me.

Members fernmeister
seafoam green is great; though I guess more of a strat colour (not that it really matters. however, the matching headstock is a little OTT.

Members 4Kenoath
Yeah, nice in normal seafoam...actually, with cream binding/pickguard it would be very sexaay.Just add special 4-way switching and you're done.

Members sense_of_henry
I am not too partial to the aqua-seafoam shame, I would prefer sunburn with freezerburn.

Phil O'Keefe
radioactive. i'd hit it. how do you save those pics? I don't know how everyone else does it, but I just hit the "print screen" button, then opened MS Paint and Cntrl / V'd to paste it in there. Then I cropped it and saved it as a JPG. That second tele looks nice, but it is closer to Surf Green IMO.Here's one in SFG, without the matching headstock:Rosewood board? Well, I think maple boards with a matching headstock look a little funky personally, but OTOH, maybe I should ditch the painted headstock idea and go with a maple neck since I generally think they sound better / more appropriate on a Tele anyway. Binding? I thought about that - used to have a candy red MIJ '62 Custom Tele RI, and I thought the binding was pretty cool. I think the body was basswood, and unfortunately, it sounded thin and lacked punch. Great neck and a beautiful looking guitar though!Anyway, thanks for the feedback guys - I'm thinking about having my buddy (a master builder at Fender) build me a custom shop guitar, and I'm trying to narrow down exactly what I want it to be. Members Roy Brooks
Relatively hot. The only thing that would keep me from buying something like that is that I already have a Telecaster.
Members paydirt
On the last one posted. Matching headstocks are hard to pull off and IMO have to be really a really subtle color. I really like what you have picked out there. Doesn't hurt having a friend at Fender either. . It's nice being out here so close to the factory (you're closer than I am) but I think we get to see more that the lions share of custom shop guitars out here. Hope you get one you love.
