Members Mr.Kickass
I think it's tasteless and way too flashy. I believe it is just an excuse for 'those people' to show off. I'm taking a stance against all that hoopa joop bleep blop stuff. Case closed.

Members hbar
Actually, I do get annoyed whenever I see some non-hearing impaired person signing a song they happened to have learned at YMCA camp in 1983. Likewise, I'd be just as annoyed if they were singing out loud. edit: signing and singing are spelled errily similarly.
Members Mr.Kickass
I was hanging out beside Advanced Auto this morning and some guy in a shirt started 'signing', as the kids call it, at this quite clearly deaf woman. I almost vomited. Tasteless, just a shameful display. So the obvious move was to ask them to stop it, it was making me uncomfortable. Mr. Shirt looked confused, smiled politely, and began to walk away. I reached out, gingerly clasping his shoulder and said with a dry voice, "You just don't know when to stop, do you?" About that time a crowd had gathered- the midmorning Advanced Auto rush, I suppose, so I gave them a piece of my mind and high tailed it the F out of there. Ironically, the battery in my scooter was dead. Within 10 mins it was replaced for a reasonable price and I was on my way. Advanced Auto is OK by me. Most deaf people can read lips anyway, i am sure they are not always comfortable when somone starts up, when they can tell what they are saying anyway. Who doesn't? One time when I was just hanging out at Home Depot, shootin' some hoops, Helen showed up all drunk and {censored}. She shoved me, snatched the ball and dunked right in my face. I looked like a fool. To this day, it makes me sick everytime I see people playing basketball at Home Depot.
