Members wyldesigns
Can anybody give some thoughts on which one of these 2 would work better as a fat booster for a Peavey Classic
Members biglurve
SD-1 isn't at all fat, so by default I'd say Blues Pro. I haven't played the Blues Pro, but I have two other M.I Audio pedals and can vouch for their savage tone & build quality. I also have the SD-1 and find it to be a very poor pedal... Members OT?
Blues Pro all the way. The SD-1 has nothing on such a brilliant pedal. Up to you I guess though.
Members 4Kenoath
For a rough and ready, bluesy/rockin boost, the BP definitely.

Members JRBain
I have the SD-1 (as seen below). I can't wait to get a TS-9, hopefully a keeley if i can stretch to it. I find that the SD-1 works best pushing the amp a bit (i.e. drive down and level up, tone to taste.) It works quite well this way. It can be fairly noisy, particularly at high-drive levels, but i don't use the drive, as i find it to be "un-sweet", and "un-smooth" - buzzy and nasty really, but that's just my perception of it. I found quite a nice breakup type sound using the drive at about 7-8 o' clock, and the tone maxed, into the clean channel, with my Strat, but the problem with this is that, whilst it cleans the tone up in a way that i like, it also sucks the bass out, which, well, sucks ('scuse the pun ). Robert Keeley does mods on the SD-1, which make it sound great, i'm sure, judging by his legendary reputation but that may end up more expensive.
