No particular order

The Graduate- Ben's character reminds me of myself (except I've never had an affair), great use of soundtrack, love the humor. I'm pretty sure Mike Nichols would have never made his awesome adaption of Catch-22 if it wasn't for the humor of the Graduate.

Rushmore- Reminds me a lot of myself. Very Catcher in the Rye like. Bill Murray really redefined his career by this movie and really showed his ability as an actor.

Royal Tennenbaums- Reminds me a lot of my family

Original Star Wars Trilogy- I grew up with these movies

Indiana Jones Trilogy- I still secretly want to be an archaeologist

Annie Hall- I'm not sure why, it isn't the funniest or even the deepest of his movies. I think it is the most charming.

Stand By Me- "No Ace, just you."

Top Secret!- the blueprint for a lot of those utterly ridiculous comedies.

Space Balls- my favorite Mel Brooks movie- probably because of my love for the sci-fi genre.

Clash of the Titans- I loved it as a kid. Really got me interested in mythology.

Psycho- Hitchcock at his best

The Shining- scariest movie of all time

Lolita- best black comedy ever

Casablanca- love, war, with great jokes thrown in at the same time

It's A Wonderful Life- one of the few movies that can make me cry

The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly- Best western ever

OK tired of explaining- here are the rest

Revenge of the Nerds

The Jerk

Better Off Dead

Ferris Bueller's Day Off

The Explorers

Catch-22

Excalibur

Road to Wellville

Batman

Peewee's Big Adventure

Beetlejuice

Seven Samurai

Delicatessen

Gummo: yeah, who needs a stupid script?

Chungking Express: Faye Wong's character is the cutest/sexiest thing in the world. ever.

Pierrot Le Fou: film about film, tres post-modern. oh and Anna Karrina!

Diary of a Country Priest: somber, almost silent film.

Royal Tennenbaums: um, perfect combination of euro-art and american stylized comedy.
