Members Funky Chowder
Sounded like a fun challenge! So, is DiaTribe no more? It's funny, because I now play in a hip-hop band, and when we can, we practice at the drummer's house in Philly. I always dug your gear and your guys' tunes. Perhaps a reunion show at some point? Thanks, man! (Do I know you?) You got a link to your stuff? We're actually coming out with our next CD soon. The boys recently played a gig, sans me @ the Spence Cafe in West Chester, w/ Jake Morelli on guitar. (I moved to Jax, Fl, to help care for an ill family member.)I'll be gigging with them a couple times a year, but we're going to just focus on recording (until I can make my way out of Skynard country hell, that is...) Members Funky Chowder
Very cool to hear about the new CD, and would love to catch you guys live. I live in upstate NY, though, so we probably don't know each other. I've lurked the boards for a long time. It's funny because I also have an Infinitphase and Moog Ring Mod, in addition to a much cheaper lapsteel. I've only really used the Ring Mod live, though, for noise-making and the trem stuff. I don't have much hip-hop output out there, but this is the guy I play for: http://www.myspace.com/badimusic and I helped to produce his first mixtape ("Posted" and "The Name" are both from that). The beats are from other songs (e.g., "The Name" is a Talib Kweli joint). My other band is quite different (http://www.myspace.com/monkeygonemad). I play the intro and sing the French verse on "L'Ange". Do you have any non-DiaTribe recordings?
