Members riffpowers
I've just bought a cornell romany amp, its great.I've been messing about with my D*A*M red rooster and 80's ts9 with good results, but I've never owned a fender style amp, so I was wondering about boosts and od's. Whats a good boost/overdrive for a non master volume fender style amp??
Members english_bob
I've got pretty good results from my BYOC Tri-Boost, mostly using the Clean Boost and Germanium full-range modes. Crank the boost all the way, set the Romany to "soft" and adjust the volume to taste, and you can get singing lead tones at bedroom volumes. At louder volumes the amp seems to lose its composure a little when boosted and/or you hit your strings hard, which sounds not so good. Not sure quite how to avoid it
