I'm just about fed up with buying things online.

The last pedal I bought took about 5 weeks to get here due to an address mistake, I just got a pair of shoes on monday that took 14 days from the shipping date to arrive, and I just got bought a guitar last tuesday that the guy was supposed to ship on thursday, he just called me and told me he "forgot to ship it" and its going out today.

I look like this right now: .

I'm tired of waiting for {censored}, and have begun to believe that its better to walk into a store with money in your hand and walk out with what you came to get. I'm just screwed because stores near here suck, and the used gear market is as dry and {censored}ty as an 85 year old anus.

.

Double .

unfortunatly that's the only way I can get gear or even know about most of the outside consumer world.

I live in a town of 4000 and my hometown is 400. Rural America can be a hard place to live when your purchasing options don't suit your needs or funds. Especially Maine.

There are very few and far in between second hand stores (with jacked prices) or even guitar shops.

Hundred of Miles away just to check them out.

how do i become a member of teh orange conglomerate?

There was a thread in "Duh Amp Forem" where a bunch of dudes from the Orange forum posted and came up with it.

Basically it consists of owning a piece of orange kit, and putting "Teh Orange Conglomerate" in your sig.

I'm sure you could put it there without owning anything if you wanted to, the same way you could own Orange stuff without putting that in your sig.

Meh. :blah:

I'm still

I would understand if that was where I live, but I'm in a major metropolitan area. With tons of music stores (and very little good in any of them), tons of used stores (with retarded prices), and millions of pawn shops (with nothing but trash in them).

You'd think I'd be able to find anything besides Squier Strats at all the music stores and Cabana shirts at all the clothing stores, but nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo.

Crawl back in your cave, troglodyte. The internet is here and it's not going away.
:)

This most recent bout of frustration is the result of many, many retarded dealings in about 10 years worth of buying and selling with people online.

I once sold an Alesis Studio24 mixer to a guy in Cali and made the mistake of "garunteeing him that it worked". When it got there he said there was a little crackle when turning the trim knob on channel 4, so he wanted a full refund, and wanted to ship the damn thing all the way back to me. I tried to suggest having it cleaned, and even offered to toss him $30 bucks back to have it done, but he pointed at my "garuntee" that it worked, and in his opinion it didn't work.

When I got it back, there was no crackle or any problems with channel 4, or any channel for that matter.

After that ordeal, I gave up buying and selling {censored} online for about a year. I think I'm heading there agian.

Some people are {censored}ing anal. Always sell {censored} "As Is" even if you mention that you can guarantee it works, just to cover yourself in cases like that where some anal bastard nitpicks the "crackle" on a knob or something.

I almost always sell stuff locally though, even if it doesn't get me as much money, because its less of a hassle and I like getting paid cash for stuff.

I'm always scared that I'll meet some guy who's using cheaply priced guitar gear to lure young, virile, long haired rockers like myself into his weird torture lair.

Just save up your gear money and make a trip to boston. There are plenty of nices stores in the area, so yeah you have to make a trip, but you could make it a GAS vacation.:thu:

That's why you just meet them someplace public. :thu:

i live in a fairly populated city..
Nice shops. Yet they are all name brand trendy {censored} that i refuse to wear.
Gear.> WOw, first off i only have 2 options of used gear at shops, which is usually over priced. And then anything else is what you see in MF.. So yea it sucks here as well. I feel your pain..

I've done this before, only to get left sitting in a Dunkin' Donuts parking lot for an hour and a half with no one showing up. One time it was a hotel lobby, 6 drinks and two hours later, nobody showed up again.

I'm beginning to sound really contrarian. I'm just in a crap mood today, and this guitar thing really, really pissed me off. Now its not going to be here until the 12th.
