i've been playing one as my main axe for the past 2 years now--the Guyatone LG200T remake.
love it. it needed some upgrades--pups, nut, a good setup, etc.--but nothing that you wouldn't need to do to a mexican Fender or Epi or Agile.
they have 2 sources: korea and china.
Mike from Eastwood (great to work with btw) said in an interview that sub-$500 guitars are from china; the rest are korean.

a lot of the professional reviews ive read indicate there are a lot of small finishing/ cosmetic imperfections on most models. they also still indicate, that for the cost, they are still a very good deal.

ive had my eye on the ovation ultra gp remake for awhile...

I played a Mosrite (?spelling) Eastwood copy at House of Guitars and was really digging it. It played fine and was really impressed with how good the neck felt. It was really cheap $250 I think, if I'm back there with cash to blow I'm getting it.

Oh yeah, I was also floored that it had a bigsbyish type trem that kept the guitar in tune after more than one shimmy.

I'm so gassing for one of their Stratotone reissues:

I tried one at Namm and the huge chunky full-scale neck felt great. Also they have swimming pool routes under the guard so thowing in a full sized 'bucker or two is a definate possibility.

;)
