If you're gonna practice with it, see which one takes pedals better at lower volumes. I would say that would be the winner...

Members b_man911
bring your most used guitar, put batteries in your pedals, and ask them in advance if its okay to crank the amp. check all the knobs to make sure they arent scratchy. ask what kind of return policy they have. no need to show off, just play things you normally play, chords, leads, etc. if you can pay in cash, do so. it seems to get the customer a better deal. good luck

Members Lanefair
Plug in and play every note on the guitar, starting on open low E up to the 24th fret etc etc. They'll think you're an idiot. Then connect the power amp out to the fx return and run.
Members p90teleman
Just came back home with the Blues Jr.! It's really nice. If I'm in the mood of tearing the building down I can always bring my Twin... Borrowed a bunch of different NOS tubes. The fun has just begun

But that's just IMO. Have fun!

Members gorebuc
I'm not. Nor am I. My friend has an AC15 CC, and I was quite jealous at first, but my Pro Jr sounded noticably better cranked at a jam, to my ears Not saying the AC15isn't a great amp. Members Rushfan2112
Ah, but gorebuc, the Pro junior is not a Blues junior. I compare my Blues Junior to my friend's Vox ac15 all the time and I'd say his wins out. I neeeed a new amp.
Members gorebuc
Yeah, I could just prefer a ten inch speaker, methinks.
Members TeleMan1985
I dunno, I've just never really fancied the low line Fender amps. Maybe just because the're overpriced in this country. And I hear the reverb likes to break on the Blues Junior...

Used is the way to go with these babies now. I wouldn't really care if the reverb broke on mine because I think its a step above crap, but I've never really used much amp reverb. I like to have reverb, but yeah, I suppose if it aint much good, you're not really gonna miss it. I just have a thing for Vox's. But, it's each to their own I gues... Members p90teleman
Well, yeah the Vox may be better but for me not 7 kilos(? pounds) + extra size better.I'd rather have a Hot Rod or Blues Deluxe then but they're way more expensive. I'm not really a fan of Vox and I can always borrow my friends '66 AC30 to have fun! Portability is what I was aiming for. I've got a Twin with JBL's.It ain't going nowhere. For solo singer-songwriter type gigs the Blues Jr. looks like a winner. Really nice, interesting Fender cleans at low volume. I'm in certain European country and it's not possible to find SF amps anymore, Deluxe Reverb or whatever...those would be my choices.
