Members NITEFLY182
Im trying to figure out if I can fit a Headrush in the space where an AD999 is on my board. Length is more important than width since the Headrush has jacks up top. Anyone know if these are similar in size? Also, is the Headrush 9v? Members fatbackribs
The H2 is definately a bit wider, and taller than an AD-900. Also the H2 runs off DC 9v.
Members NITEFLY182
Thanks, any idea what the height including the jacks is?
Members johnrambo
the headrush e2 measures roughly 7.5" x 5.5"
Members NITEFLY182
I just saw the pic of your board and that determined that it wont fit. It needs to go in the place of the ad999 and the dd20 on your board looks tony compared to the Headrush.
Members johnrambo
if you have a big muff laying around you can use it for comparison. they're almost the exact same size. maybe you could turn one of your zvex pedals sideways and put it next to the channel selector to clear room. Members NITEFLY182
Im kind of OCD about placement and the geometry of my board. I try not to have things sideways. Ill have to look into it a little more.

Members NITEFLY182
I dont see how that would solve the problem.
Members Tenine
Swap the places of the Chorus and Amp channel footswitch, then move the TZF further to the right and you'll probably be able to fit the Headrush in if you don't mind it being on it's side. Members Tenine
see above posts. lol. Ahhh, I see...No pedals on their sides then. Does the Headrush have to go where the AD-999 was on the board?
Members NITEFLY182
It wouldn't have to but Ive never even played one so I dont want to buy one and rearrange my whole board for a pedal I might not like. The AD999 just isn't really cutting it lately so I want to try another digital delay.
Members Tenine
Well, what is it specifically that draws you to the Headrush?Does the DD-20 not your digital delay needs?
Members NITEFLY182
I want something for dedicated looping that doesn't have an input gain (RC20) and has start and stop functions on separate switches. Also, its something new that I haven't tried.
Members Tenine
Maybe an RC-2 with an extra footswitch? I'm GASing for exactly that right now...
Members NITEFLY182
I dont have room for an extra footswitch unfortunately. I tried the RC2 and it just didn't work for actual looping for me. Playing samples would be fine but actual looping was a pain.
Members Tenine
Ahh, that's a shame, because I'm sure you could squeeze that extra footswitch onto the board, you know What didn't you like about the looping on the RC-2? I just play solo, sometimes with a drum machine and I'm looking into the RC-2 so I can loop a bass line and then play my bass higher up the neck. Also, vocals! I love those canon-ing vocals by bands like A Silver Mount Zion, of course it's hard to do that with just one voice!
Members NITEFLY182
I like the larger format of the RC20 since the RC2 is kind of small and a pain to use. Outboard switches are just a pain for me.
