Members MathiasWilliam
Hey, Isn;t Brian May's tone beautiful?! i listened to it, it is harmonies defately but i think it must be different tracks, defanately not being played at the same time, You could make achieve this with a boss pitch shifter, Harmonizer or a whammy? I know Brian May used vox ac30's and a treble booster to get his clean ovedriven sound, and i read somewhere that to do harmonies live he used delay. hope that helped:)
Members jove
I can clearly hear at least 2 notes. Why don't you just listen to it over and over again, gtr in hand, and try to cop it by ear? Then you'll know the interval.if you can't tell the interval, just post them here and I'll tell you what it is. On first listen it sounds like parallel 4ths or 5ths.
Members Cliff Fiscal
I own the Brian May special....that little white Vox practice amp. Freakin' dead on Brian May tone......no delay or octave, but the base tone is spectacular.

Members RyanDC
I nail the tone with my traynor. However I haven't had any luck with anything else. Maybe check out the digitech brian may pedal it sounded pretty good from what I heard.
Members HMCMedic
I have the Digitech Brian May Pedal and it does nail those delay, harmonized tones. If you want to sound like Brian the easiest path is that pedal:)

All done in the studio. Not a pedal or a rack (live? delays yes, these days I think he uses a harmonizer). The harmony stuff in the studio is all multi-track harmonized guitar. His red special guitar, ran into his custom made treble boost. On some tracks into his Vox AC30 and on others into his Deacy amp. Together the whole combo multi tracked gets that tone. If you got his sig guitar (you can mod a strat to get close), an AC30, and a Pignose (battery powered amp) you can get some of that tone with one of these treble boosts by Pete Cornish or Baja Tech Custom and multi track in the studio or harmonize live. http://www.petecornish.co.uk/vintage.html#tb83 or http://www.bajatechcustom.com/catalog/product_info.php?products_id=
