i've been away for a while so probably missed the first (or more) wave of threads about this one...

so how does it sound? can the repeats go louder than the dry sound? does it do any kind of oscillation?

i imagine it to be similar to the Ibanez DE-7 echo mode.. close?

couple reviews on hc too, seem positive, I'm very tempted.

i'm quite sceptical about those reviews.. there's nothing like a few good reviews on HC to help kick-start the marketing and unit-shifting campaign!

..call me cynical.. :)

Yea thats true, we'll never know until someone ponies up and buys one. I'd have one if they were 82.99 like all the other pedals in that line.

I'm sure once more people have them in the prices will come down a bit, i'm pretty sure that

no not at all, $99's retail here, but you can get a de-7 for 50. I can justify 35 more, but for some reason I can't justify twice the price. Although i'm sure the #1 is more reliable, but the de has proven track record and has many good reviews from people i trust.

I liked it alot actually. Its just a good basic delay. It has a little analog flavor to it but not overly dark. It can go 100% wet (where you only hear the repeats) and everything in between. I didnt really care for the oscillation but i didnt mess with it too much either. What i did hear wasnt all that great sounding and it was kinda harsh. I prefer that of my DMM or even the stereo memory man.

All in all, i would go for it if you need a basic delay

right, as if they bought the pedal to run upstairs and than type a review before owning it for a reasonable amount of review time. it's a pattern repeated before anythings ever released. cant trust anything, can we?

Raising the dead here I know, but I couldn't find a decent review of this thing when I was looking in to it. I'm sorry but this is not a decent review either.

I like the echo for the most part, I found the delay knob to be far too sensitive to even the slightest change. I think it sounds like a good analog delay. I have a carbon copy to compare to and its brighter. If you set the feedback to its highest setting and twiddle the delay knob it will give you some good oscillation. If you play and just twiddle the delay it sounds like an analog should.

I like it and I thought it was cheap when I got it used for $80. Really my biggest complaint is the sensitivity of the delay knob, even if I just tweak it a tiny bit it seems like a bigger change than it should.
