ok, so i've decided i'm going to get a rondo tele (really cheap one, ss) and then cut out the neck routing for a humbucker (if it won't already fit) drop a gfs humbucker in there, replace the single coil with something a little nicer and put a gfs pickguard on there. what are the chances that the pickguard will fit? i'm hoping that at the end of these mods it'll be less than $250

are you referring to guitarfetish? I bought 2 3-ply esquire pickguards from them and it fit great. I also got a pup for my tele and it was also awesome. I'm really happy with their service and price. Don't know anything about the rondo tele tho. But if it's a standard tele guitar, then it should fit fine.

if you're asking if it'll fit the guitar:

if the new guard doesnt' fit the guitar, fill the old holes with some wood putty, let it sit over night, then once they are dry and full, put the pickguard where you want it and hold it in place and drill new holes.

that's what i did for an aluminum pickguard and it looks great.
