POLL: Overdrive Before, OR After Distortion?

I just wanted to see what you guys are doing, when using both a distortion and an overdrive pedal in your effects chain.

Personally, I usually place my OD pedal before my distortion, since it boosts the input signal of the distortion, hence giving me more distortion for the heavier stuff I play.

However, I am beginning to think that I should place my OD after my distortion, because it seems to fatten up the signal, and works well as a volume boost, when the OD is engaged.

So, how do you guys prefer it?

I am beginning to think that it varies as well.

For example: I place my modded DS-1 before my Bad Monkey OD, but place my Metal Muff after the OD.

I guess it really does depend on the situation. I am constantly changing the order of my pedals, since the results seem to vary so greatly.

I have an MI Audio Crunch Box on the way, and I am assuming that I'll put the OD before it, but we'll see...
