ive been using the rat for awhile now, and im over it...

looking for something kind of 'natural sounding' to push my amp over and tighten it up a little bit...

that can go from nice slight edge up to something pretty aggressive....

main guitars are a tele deluxe and a jag >>> 70's marshall superbass....

what are the new keeley SD-1 with the stacked chips like???

what about the maxon pedals??? .... tube pedals???

yeh ive considered doing it...
i just think i dont like the sound of it as an OD in general... ill prob still keep it, cuz i can get a broken/farty speaker sound that i like...
amp being a marshall played loud its already dirty... so im just looking for something to kick it over and importantly tighten it up... being a bass head it can be a bit wooly sometimes, which is good just not all the time :)
i also plan to use a boost i have with whichever pedal i get...
will have a look at those maxons... trouble with being where i am, theres not alot of choice for me to go and try stuff out,, you know...
any people here with keeley SD-1s that are happy or not happy???

Agreed. I was serious about the maxon by the way. They're still in production. Fairly new actually.

It's an updated version of the OD820, which I have and love to death. I don't know about the old school one, but this regardless should do you some good. Keep in mind it doesn't do screaming distortion like the rat, it's a smooth overdrive. Still rockin' though.

i would love an ocd... heres the thing...
from dealers on US ebay = $143
in australia = $265
i could buy one off ebay and itd cost roughly AU$160... BUT, fulltone wont let their dealers in the US ship overseas,, and there are only a handful of fulltone dealers in the whole of australia

that seymour duncan pedal looks cool... pretty $$$
looking to spend about US$150-ish...
tubescreamers arent for me....
