I got my first tattoo about 6 months ago on my upper right shoulder.. as a tribute to my brother Bobbie (our drummer in almost every band I've been in over the past 35 years) who died in June of 2005. This is the only photo I have of it so far and this was very shortly after it was done - so there is some redness & swelling that makes it hard to read in this picture.

It's my Red Les Paul backed with wings and wrapped around the neck and the guitar is a blue ribbon reading "Blues For Bobbie". Like I said - in this photo that's hard to read, but it's there. It looks much better now so I'll have to shoot a new one one of these days.

I resisted getting tattoos my whole life, my Dad had them up and down both arms as he was an outlaw biker for about the past 25 years of his life. But my brother was such an intregal part of my music for my entire life that I wanted to do something over-the-top to pay tribute to him. I miss him.

Nice! I would love to see a pic.

Heres an old one with my Hokusai waves (I have a full Iron & wine beard now a days)

And here is the EH Ramshead (sorry for the low quality picture it actually looks great in person)

I've got quite a few so far. I'm quite a collector, I've had work from Steve Potton, Steve Byrne, Diego, Jo Harrison, Ben Wahhh, Phil Kyle, Marcus Kuhn, Paul Naylor (Myth), and a couple of others I'm not so proud of. Lots more planned for next year: my other hand, the other side of my neck and I'm going to start my backpiece too.
