New Guitar : Best electric under $250?

I posted this in the guitar forum, but seeing as how I mainly hang out here and value the opinions of this forum more, I thought I would toss it up for discussion here also -

So I am in need of a new guitar, the Hohner TE Custom I have been using is giving me problems here and there that I just don't want to deal with anymore, and I am ready to move on. All things considered, I am a poor college student, and seeing that I paid $220 for this thing, if I sell it and get a new guitar I think I can have roughly about $250 for a new guitar of comparable quality, but lacking the problems that it has (weird neck, intonation issues, etc.).

So what do you guys think is the best electric I can grab at, around, or under $250? I already use a nice LP copy, so I am thinking either I can get another tele copy or maybe go with something else (as long as it's not a strat. . .not my bag). Here are the things I have been looking at so far -

Agile tele copy w/F hole - $259.99

SX es-335 copy - $199.99

Epiphone Dot B-stock - $249.99

In any case, are there any other great lower end guitar makers, similar to agile or the other companies on Rondo music that I should check out? What do you guys recommend?

I can vouch for the Gretsch Korean Sparkle Jet series. They are excellent for the price. Great intonation, sweet pickups, sturdy build, smooth pots, and lots of chrome

Here's one in red on eBay. They come in a lot of different colors, but they're all sparkly.
