Anyone know any cool cheap dirtboxes that have a...not nessesarily desirable tone....but a very unique one. I'm not looking for versatility...but something thats funny and unique. I just ordered a DOD original flashback fuzz...anyone use one? What about this:http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Danelectro-DJ16-Bacon-N-Eggs-Mini-Amp-Plus-Distortion?sku=151875 How do those sound just as a distortion?

Any suggestions would be cool....

I'm GAS'ing for a Seymour Duncan Lava Box. It's got a pretty unique design, I bet it would sound great. Class A MOSFET distortion with good tone controls. Another one is the Rocktron Zombie Rectified Distortion Pedal, which has some crazy features on it like depth of field adjustment and a symmetry adjustment for the clipping, also less than $70 so not too hard on the wallet. Neat!

The DOD FX57 Hard Rock Distortion fits your criteria:

"not necessarily desirable tone...but a very unique one"

"funny and unique" (it has cheezy delay built in)

They go pretty cheap on EBay. I never use the one I have, but I'll keep it only for its' uniqueness.

Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
