Members thorology
So I've got this No-Name brand delay which sounds really nice and analogy. I've used it daisy chained from my TU2 for years now. So the other day I got an offer, the delay along with some other gear for a Tele. So I took the delay off my board but yesterday when I was double checking if everything was alright with the pedals I plugged everything in and had the delay on a seperate wallwart but nothing happend. It didn't pass sound, no lights, no mojo. So I hooked it up with a 9v battery and everything was cool again. Sweet delay tones and no problem. Then I tried to daisy chain it to see if the 9v input was dead but that worked like a charm as well. No problem what so ever. Can anyone explain to me why this kinda thing would happen to a pedal? Cheers guys

Tried the delay with other wall warts I have for back up.
Members surferbeto
Get some spray on contact cleaner and clean the contacts to the power plugs. Any pedal can develop a maddeningly intermittent power connection over time if you don't do this maintenance occasionally.
Members andreas
When you got it working w/ the daisy chain the last time (after trying with battery power), did you also connect the signal cables? It sounds like the ACA syndrome, where a pedal works with 9 volts as long as it is daisy-chained (with signal cables connected), but when alone it needs a 12 volt adapter. It could also be a bad ground connection from the adapter jack to the circuit board. The battery will reach ground through the input jack, and when daisy-chained, the adapter jack will connect to ground through the signal cables' grounds. What make/model is it? /Andreas

Never found anything about it online. But I've got a 12v power supply to try it with if that's gonna get me anywhere?
