Ernie Ball VP Junior as an a/b out?

I have done this, once, as a super-crude way of doing things. I used the tuner output to feed a practice amp when at church once, as a monitor. It's an isolated output - It isn't affected by the pedal, at all, so just remember that when you lower your volume and wonder why you can still hear your guitar :p

the tuner output comes before the volume pot. thats whay your tuner will still be functioning when you have it in the heel down position

I take my hat off to you sir - A better explanation than mine, in fewer words :p

The tuner out is simply wired in parallel to the input jack. If you connect two amps (or two chains of pedals, or one chain of pedals and a tuner) to them, you're effectively splitting the signal. The lowered input impedance that comes from this procedure can most definitely steal some tone, yes. If you want to try it, make sure you keep a fully buffered (Boss or similar) pedal in front of the volume pedal.
