Members sound.out.light
I was wondering what the difference between the tuner output and the normal output is on the ernie ball vp junior pedals. would i be able to use the two for splitting the instruments signal into two seperate rigs?? Members SG dan
the tuner output comes before the volume pot. thats whay your tuner will still be functioning when you have it in the heel down position
Members JRBain
I have done this, once, as a super-crude way of doing things. I used the tuner output to feed a practice amp when at church once, as a monitor. It's an isolated output - It isn't affected by the pedal, at all, so just remember that when you lower your volume and wonder why you can still hear your guitar

Members TomCTC
I have heard that the tuner out, if used, on the Ernie Ball pedals will degrade the tone of the normal out? Mythbusters, please debunk.

Members andreas
The tuner out is simply wired in parallel to the input jack. If you connect two amps (or two chains of pedals, or one chain of pedals and a tuner) to them, you're effectively splitting the signal. The lowered input impedance that comes from this procedure can most definitely steal some tone, yes. If you want to try it, make sure you keep a fully buffered (Boss or similar) pedal in front of the volume pedal. /Andreas
