I'm looking for a chorus pedal (cheap) that will give me some great shimmery and smooth sounds. Im looking for something subtle and not over the top (i have a flanger for that) and something that kinda just melts into the atmosphere of a song. Like more of an ambienent type chorus than a cheezy warbly 80s sound. Nothing nasty; a very pretty chorus sound. The slow part of six by ATR is a good example of what im going for. Also ill be using this for jazzy type stuff too. Here is a demo of what im going for

. Skip to 1:50 when he starts doing the chorus harmonies. I love that sound he gets there. So what chorus pedal under 75 will get me that?

Thx in advance HC

Pick up a Fender Starcaster Chorus at Target or Bestbuy for $40. I {censored} you not, it's a completely analog chorus pedal and sounds damn good. It will easily get that sound that you want. :thu:

The distortion sucks... I should have gone with the chorus...

The distortion was decent, but mine bled through horribly. I took it back after about a week.

However, I was just jamming with the chorus and my DE7, and I highly, highly recommend it. I can't believe how good it sounds. I had the DE7 set to a repeat-heavy, ambient delay, and the Fender Chorus set to a subtle, slow shimmer. Damn what a great combo. To think that the two of them can be easily had for $80-$100 is amazing.

Try a NEW (i.e. not used) Righteous Tones Electro-Shine:

I doubt you will find a new, all-analog, true bypass chorus for that price anywhere. And judging from the samples, it sounds very nice.

I have the Righteous Tones JACK and have been very happy with it as a parametric EQ. Have my Fang and Sonic Mayhem in the mail as we speak...looking forward to getting them.
